About the Opportunity

Ecofor is currently seeking casual Laborers to join our team in Fort St John, BC. This position will ideally start in April 2024.

This is an hourly position, the wage range is $25.00 – $27.50 per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate must reside in Fort St John, BC, or surrounding areas.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in archaeological field work for oil and gas, forestry, transportation, and other industries:
    • Shovel testing.
    • Operating cement saws.
    • Moving field supplies (lifting and carrying heavy materials and equipment).
  • Equipment management and shop organization.
  • Working in collaboration with local First Nations.
  • Promoting a strong safety culture and working collaboratively within Ecofor’s corporate culture.

More About You

To qualify, you will need a minimum of a high school diploma.

Candidates with the following skills and experience will be considered:

  • Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • Physical ability to do strenuous fieldwork in a variety of conditions and lift 50 lbs minimum.
  • Must be organized and committed to safety.
  • Willing to work long days and odd jobs.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with concrete saws, snowmobiles, ATVs, and UTVs is an asset.
  • Experience in Cultural Resource Management is not required but would be considered an asset.
