About the Opportunity

Ecofor is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Prince George or Fort St. John, BC. This position will start in June 2025.

This is a Salary position with a target hiring range of $108,427 to $133,395 per year. Final placement within this range will typically be between the minimum and midpoint and is determined based on each candidate’s unique combination of skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. We also consider factors such as market conditions and internal equity to support fair and transparent compensation practices.

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing comprehensive workplans outlining projects, activities, timelines and resource requirements.
  • Managing project deliverables to meet timelines, budget constraints and quality standards in accordance with Ecofor’s Project Management guidance and processes.
  • Assessing and allocating necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, in coordination with regional and operational management.
  • Identifying the need to procure qualified consultants to support projects and follow subcontracting processes to ensure appropriate expertise is secured.
  • Budgeting project expenditures, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with project plans
  • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to address project challenges proactively.
  • Updating clients regarding schedules, work progress, budgets, and reporting.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships by serving as the primary point of contact, addressing concerns, and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Fostering positive relationships with local communities, Indigenous groups, governmental agencies and other partners.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and work collaboratively within Ecofor’s corporate culture.

Qualifications include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is required.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Biology.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous consulting experience.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with financial management of projects, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in partnership with First Nations communities and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Due to the nature of the role, you must have a valid Driver’s License.
